Sometimes life feels overwhelming, confusing, or heavy.
At other times we simply need a place where we can speak honestly, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves.

Counselling offers a safe, respectful space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.

My approach to counselling is person-centred and nature-based. I believe that each person has an inner capacity for growth, healing, and change. My role is to walk alongside you, offering presence, deep listening, and a supportive environment where you can explore what matters most to you.

A Nature-Based Approach

Many counselling sessions take place outdoors in the beautiful natural environments of the Northern Beaches. We may walk along:

  • beaches

  • bush trails

  • coastal paths

  • quiet parks or easy nature tracks

Walking side by side often makes conversations feel more natural and less intense than sitting face-to-face in an office.

Nature gently supports the process of reflection and emotional regulation. The rhythm of walking, the sound of the ocean or birds, and the feeling of fresh air can help the mind settle and create space for clarity.

For people who prefer it, sessions can also take place seated in a quiet location.

Walk & Talk Therapy

Walk & Talk Therapy is simply counselling that happens while walking together in nature. Many people find this approach helps them:

  • feel more relaxed and open

  • think more clearly

  • regulate emotions more easily

  • reduce anxiety and stress

  • feel less pressure while speaking

Walking side by side can create a sense of shared journey, where the conversation unfolds naturally as we move through the environment.

You set the pace of the walk and the pace of the conversation.

Sometimes we talk.
Sometimes we pause.
Sometimes silence is part of the process.

All of it is welcome.

My Approach

My counselling approach is grounded in respect, empathy, authenticity, and deep listening. I aim to create a space where you feel:

  • safe

  • heard

  • accepted without judgement

  • free to explore your thoughts and feelings

Rather than giving advice or telling you what to do, I support you in discovering your own understanding, strengths, and direction.

You are the expert in your own life.

My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your values, your voice, and your inner resources.

Each session is unique and guided by what feels most important for you in the moment. Sessions may include:

  • gentle exploration of emotions and experiences

  • moments of quiet reflection while walking

  • noticing the environment and sensory experience of nature

  • identifying patterns, strengths, and possibilities for change

There is no pressure to have the “right words” or to know exactly what you need.

You can simply start where you are.

Duration
